In the Bering Sea Region there was
the Arctic
Small Tool tradition: 6,000-4,200 BP
The first coastal dwellers of the
true Arctic regions who appeared before 4200 B.P.
and who had a
hunting tradition and a distinctive set of stone tools, weapon tips,
and adzes of small
size (hence the name).
